Bobbi Brown Platinum Pink Shimmer Brick

Being in the mood for pinks, I couldn't resist picking up the Bobbi Brown Platinum Pink Shimmer Brick at Isetan today.

It's similar to Peony, except that it has a silver strip and slightly paler mix of pinks. I find the case to be unwieldy and unnecessarily chunky but it does come with a generously sized mirror under the lid. The leather square on the cover adds a more luxurious feel, but I felt that S$70 is still a tad too over-priced. Still, it looked too pretty to pass up.

Hi Haru

Thanks for your new BB pink shimmery brick swatch. How does it fares compared to other pink blusher from your BB collection or other pink blusher collection you have?

Love to hear a bit more, thanks babe.
PS: i'm always amazed by how you can effortlessly take counter, display photo. how easy is it to take photo so openly? don't tell me u have secret camera hidden underneath ur coat..and a slight movement to "ka cang" will do lol hehe

Love

Do you use this as a blusher or highlighter?

Hi Pinky,

I tried out the Platinum Pink Shimmer Brick today and it applies as a very pale silvery pink. It works much better as a highlighter rather than a blush. The pink tone is unlikely to show up well on darker skintones as it's so pale. Peony is more pigmented in that respect. Or you can apply your normal blush first and then lightly dust the Platinum Pink Shimmer Brick on top for a more glowy effect.

Hey Pinky,
Re your question on how I take photos of the counter displays, I just snap them quickly with my camera phone, which takes very clear pics as you can see :-) I usually try to do it when there are no SAs hanging around. It only takes half a sec, and people just think you are checking your phone.
